Windward School is looking for a Facilities Associate to assist with the daily duties which ensure that the campus is clean, safe and in working condition.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Supports the daily functions of the Facilities Team with event setups, breakdowns, and routine custodial services
• Assists with daily janitorial duties, including but not limited to: trash pickup, sweeping, gutter maintenance, leaf blowing, power washing
• Assists with campus repairs as needed within the scope of safety and expertise
• Responds to all communications within 24-48 hours
• Wears proper work uniform and PPE at all times
• Works nights and weekends as needed to support the functions of events on campus
• Follows all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure safety of self, team, and school
• Operates a commercial vehicle to transport tools, materials, and storage equipment to the facility
• Maintains safe vehicle operation, secure loading, and complies with school policies and safety regulations
• Drives the Windward bus for field trips, athletic contests/practice, and as requested for campus needs
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Graduation from high school, GED, or equivalent required
• 3-5 years’ experience working in a maintenance or janitorial profession
• Current, unexpired Class C California Driver License 
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Confidentiality of all information is of the utmost importance and essential to this position
• Computer literacy

  • Work Environment: Uneven ground, Excessive noise, Extreme Temperature, Working at Heights, Exposure to Dust/Fumes, Exposure to Hazards

Salary Range: $60,000-$70,000, depending on experience.
