The San Francisco Waldorf Grade School is seeking a Girls Volleyball Coach (6th/7th grade) for the upcoming Fall season.
Fall Season: Late August - Mid November
*Must be available during after-school hours weekdays, between 3:30pm – 6:00pm and weekends.
Coaching Stipend for Season: $2,200 - $2,400
Qualified candidates will be those with a strong background in coaching volleyball (prefer College/High School coaching and/or playing experience) who seek a team-oriented athletic environment, with the ability to apply leadership, organization, and teaching skills to adolescent student-athletes in a strong and competitive athletic program. Experience is a plus, but is secondary to dedication and commitment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plan practices, emphasizing the development of fundamental skills through positive feedback.

Must commit to all weekday practices and games

Provide consistent communication with students, parents, fellow coaches, and supervisors.

Attend coaching clinics and meetings as required
-
Provide active direction to the team during games.

Prepare starting lineupand substitutions.
-
Create and institute age-appropriate game strategy.
-
Learn and comply with NFHS/CIF/NCS league rules and procedures.

Additional duties as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
-
One year of volleyball Coaching or teaching Physical Education

Previous experience working with middle school or high school students
-
NFHS California Coaching Certification & other required courses mandated by the state for HS coaches.

Excellent communication skills

Interest in Waldorf education

Valid CA Drivers License
-
TB Assessment
-
Livescan fingerprinting required
-
CPR and First Aid certification (or the willingness to become certified) is also necessary.

Mandated Reporter Training required
