The San Francisco Waldorf High School is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Drumming and Percussions Teacher to join us in August of 2025.

This position would work well for someone who is looking for another “piece” to fit into their schedule of teaching and individual lessons. These classes are taught on campus (470 West Portal Ave, San Francisco) on Tuesdays and Thursdays and each class is 55 minutes long, from 11:30am - 12:25pm and from 12:30pm - 1:25pm.
The commitment is to four classes per week throughout the school year, with some extra time around two annual concerts - Winter and Spring - presented by the whole music department. There are also periodic department meetings to attend in preparation for the concerts and as needed.
The San Francisco Waldorf High School is a small high school of about 130 students, and all students take four years of music. They choose among several classes: Orchestra, Jazz Band, Beginning or Advanced Guitar, Drumming Ensemble, World Music, Eurythmy Troupe, Exploring Music, Concert Choir and Chamber Choir.
We have six dedicated teachers carrying these classes, most of whom have been with us for years. They are all professional musicians who perform, teach, and play in the Bay Area. We are hoping for someone who could see this as a long-term commitment as part of their music life.
