About Francis Parker School:
Parker is a coeducational independent day school in San Diego, California with 1,330 students in Junior Kindergarten through Grade 12. Founded in 1912, the school’s mission is “to create and inspire a diverse community of independent thinkers whose academic excellence, global perspective and strength of character prepare them to make a meaningful difference in the world.” Parker has two campuses: one in Mission Hills (Lower School, Junior Kindergarten - Grade 5), and a second in Linda Vista (Middle and Upper School, Grades 6 - 12).
Job Description:
This opening is for late August through mid-February of the 2025-26 school year. The School is seeking a teacher with experience in teaching elementary school Spanish. Instructional responsibilities will involve creating lessons for students in grades kindergarten through fifth grade, working closely with 2 additional Spanish teachers to coordinate curriculum and instruction, and communicating closely and effectively within the school community. In addition to their teaching responsibilities, faculty members participate in other components of the life of the school, including committees and duties.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have a bachelor's degree and a teaching credential is desired. Prior elementary school experience is essential. The successful applicant will be computer literate, possess excellent writing skills, be willing to work as a strong team member, and have an abiding interest in helping young people experience success in school.
Salary and Benefits:
The long-term sub rate is $250 per day. This position is not eligible for benefits and will start Late August through mid-February 2026.
