      About Marymount:

      Marymount is an Independent, Catholic all-girls high school that fosters confidence, joy, leadership, and a sense of greater purpose in each student.     • Instruct through lectures, discussions, and demonstrations using a variety of methodologies.
    • Capable of conducting classes virtually using Zoom technology.
    • Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects, and communicate those objectives to students.
    • Prepare, administer, and grade tests and assignments to evaluate students' progress.
    • Provide opportunities when needed for individualized and small group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each pupil.
    • Design learning activities that will relate mathematics to the physical world in an engaging and relevant way.
    • Prepare materials and classrooms for class activities including note packets, assignments, supplemental materials.
    • Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
    • Maintain accurate and complete student records, update counselors with student progress, and adhere to administrative requests for progress reports.
    • Update the Google Classroom site on a regular basis.
    • Assign and grade class work and homework and return the work in a timely manner.
    • Observe and evaluate students' performance, behavior, social development, and physical health and communicate with academic counselors and administrators in order to resolve students' behavioral and academic problems.
    • Communicate issues with the appropriate administrator.
    • Establish and maintain standards of pupil behavior needed to provide an orderly, safe, and productive classroom environment.
    • Use technology, including Google classroom, Smartboard, TI-Nspire Calculators, Desmos, and others, to supplement presentations.
    • Communicate with parents and guardians to discuss their children's progress, and to determine their priorities for their children and their resource needs and respond promptly to any parent communication.
    • Collaborate with other teachers and administrators in the development, evaluation, and revision of math courses.
    • Perform duties such as assisting with lunch supervision, chaperoning dances or events, attending faculty meetings.
    • Provide information to Department Chair, co-workers, and administrators by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person as well as respond to emails in a prompt manner.
    • Perform day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork.
    • Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics or STEM field.
    • At least 3 years of teaching experience, preferably in an independent school.
    • Experience with technology.
