Security & Safety Supervisor

    Key Responsibilities and Duties:

    1. Leadership & Supervision

    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of outsourced security personnel (guards, monitors, etc.).
    • Report weekly shift schedules to Assistant Director of Facilities for scheduling security contractor
    • Conduct regular security team meetings and provide training on emergency protocols and security
    • procedures.
    • Manage drop-off & pick-up procedures through the day


    2. Security Strategy & Planning

    • Conduct daily risk assessments and identify vulnerabilities in the school’s physical campus.
    • Plan for and assist in managing crowd control during school events or emergencies
    • Responsible for coordinating subs (back-ups) with outsourced security provider
    • Responsible for maintaining Post Orders, make suggestions or improvements
    • Enforce strict adherence to post orders by security personnel

    3. Physical Security Oversight

    • Communicate any security deficiencies to the Assistant Director of Facilities
    • Perform regular security patrols of school premises

    4. Emergency Preparedness

    • Act as an incident commander during any real-time emergency or threat situation
    • Liaise with local law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency services

    5. Incident Management & Reporting

    • Investigate security breaches, safety concerns, or disciplinary incidents within the security team
    • Maintain accurate and timely incident reports and logs
    • Provide reports and security updates to the Assistant Director of Facilities
    • Act as main liaison to any PRS employee when handling a situation

    6. Access Control & Visitor Management

    • Ensure all visitors follow proper check-in/check-out procedures
    • Monitor student pick-up/drop-off to ensure safety and authorized access
    • Maintain front post at security shack

    7. Student & Staff Support

    • Build relationships with students, staff and community to foster a sense of safety and trust
    • Provide security guidance to students and staff as needed


    Required Skills and Qualifications:

    • Background in law enforcement, military, or professional security (preferred).

    • Strong leadership and communication skills.

    • Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions.

    • Knowledge of safety regulations, school protocols, and security technologies.

    • Certification in first aid, CPR, and emergency response is advantageous.
