    Spanish Associate Teacher

    Brentwood School, a vibrant and diverse K-12 independent school, is looking for an Associate Teacher to support our K-5 Lower School Spanish program alongside our Spanish Specialist Teacher.  This position begins August 2025.  We are seeking individuals from independent, public, private, or charter schools. BA required; master’s degree, student teaching and experience in a school environment strongly preferred.

    Essential Duties:

           Plan and co-teach daily K-5 Spanish classes with the Spanish Lead Teacher

           Assist in the preparation of materials to support Spanish lessons throughout the Lower School

           Plan, support, and facilitate Spanish curriculum along with the Spanish Specialist

           Engage and support students of varied identities, lifestyles, and beliefs

           Other duties as assigned by the Spanish Specialist and the school’s administrative team including lunch and recess duties

    It is expected that a successful candidate would:

    While being vaccinated for COVID-19 is not required, it is strongly recommended

    COMPENSATION:  Brentwood School’s diverse and talented faculty includes Teaching Associates who are newer to the profession. The salaries for Associate Teachers range from $55,550 to $68,008 based upon years of experience beyond student teaching and education. Salary ranges do not include benefits i.e. 403b retirement matching, paid lunch time, free breakfast and lunch, free parking, subsidy toward medical, dental, vision, life/AD&D plans, and generous time off. The pay range is an estimate and is not guaranteed. If hired, your actual base salary will be determined by your education and experience.
