Job Description:
The Admissions and Advancement Associate reports to the Director of Enrollment Management and the Director of Advancement. This role is responsible for many of the Enrollment Management and Advancement Office's day-to-day operations. This role also supports the Advancement department in leading Alumni outreach and programming, as well as supporting broader Advancement initiatives.
Primary Duties:
Enrollment Management (50%)

Works collaboratively with the Director of Enrollment Management and Assistant Director of Enrollment Management to process and manage student admissions processes; including: completing student application files; scheduling tours, open houses, parent interviews, & student interviews; etc.

Communicates via phone and email with prospective parents, current parents, and the School community.

Leads set-up of admissions events, including organizing refreshments, admissions collateral, advancement materials, parent coffees, etc.

Leads outreach efforts, including presenting at community events, attending and leading admissions fairs and outreach events.

Manages admissions process and student enrollment data, including processing incoming inquiry, application and supplemental documentation.

In collaboration with the Assistant Director of Enrollment Management, prepares assessment materials and supports student assessments.

With direction from Director of Enrollment Management and Assistant Director of Enrollment Management, supports the prospective student visit process.

Supports Director of Enrollment Management with parent/guardian interviews.

Creates and maintains admissions files.

Assists with admissions events, including preparing Open House materials, handouts, and schedules.

Tracks event attendance in the admissions database.

In collaboration with the Director of Communications and Marketing and Enrollment Management colleagues, supports the School’s broader social media efforts.

Creates and manages digital outreach pieces and other mailings.

Other duties as assigned.
Advancement (50%)
-
Leads Alumni outreach and programming, including creating contact points, maintaining relationships, hosting events and setting up external gathering opportunities.

Supports the Director of Advancement in execution of all major advancement events, such as, the School’s Fall Festival, Generations Day, Auction, etc.

Supports maintenance of our Alumni database.

Creates and manages digital outreach pieces and other mailings.

Support with future Capital Campaigns.

Other duties as assigned.
Essential Requirements:

Oral and written fluency in Spanish highly preferred.

Strong data entry and MS Office/Google Suite skills; Canva experience preferred

Proven track record in quickly adopting new software/technology.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with strong editing/grammar skills.

Extremely detail-oriented, flexible, and organized; demonstrated initiative.

Event planning experience with a strong eye for aesthetics and guest experience.

Demonstrated experience managing social media campaigns.

Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
-
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

Knowledge of independent schools preferred, but not required.

Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.

Must possess a valid US driver’s license, have reliable access to a personal vehicle, and be able to provide proof of current vehicle insurance.
Schedule:
This position is full-time and requires attendance at regular weekend and evening events. The role will require some flexibility managing scheduling between the Advancement and Enrollment Management departments.
Compensation/Benefits:
Redwood Day offers highly competitive compensation and benefits. The anticipated pay range the school reasonably expects to pay candidates for the Admissions and Advancement Associate role is $31 to $35 per hour, depending on factors such as experience and education.
