The Archer School for Girls is currently seeking a full-time School Nurse to start immediately. The School Nurse will manage the school health office to support the health and well-being of approximately 500 students in grades 6 – 12. Responsibilities also include managing student health records and serving on the Safety Committee.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of the school health office including:
- Administer first aid treatment and nursing care to students
- Refer students to outside medical providers if necessary
- Document student Health Office visits using Magnus Health
- Maintain student health and immunization records in Magnus Health
- Manage and administer student medication using Magnus Health
- Create care plans for students requiring medical accommodations, in collaboration with school administration and faculty
- Maintain health office supplies and inventory
- Serve as a resource for faculty and administration around student health and wellness
- Coordinate response to infectious disease outbreaks on campus
- Maintain campus First Aid kits and AEDs
- Coordinate health-related aspects of field trips and overnight trips
- Provide assistance in an emergency health response on campus, including responding when a 911 call has been made
- Conduct Employee TB Risk Assessments

Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree: preferred in a related field
- Current nursing qualification (e.g. LVN, LPN or RN)
- Understanding of school operations, culture and climate
- Experience with Magnus Health database a plus

Salary range: $36.06 - $55.29 per hour (depending on qualifications and experience)
