    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Family Program Coordinator will play a key role in supporting family engagement through logistical coordination, communication assistance, and event support. This position is responsible for organizing family outreach efforts, coordinating school events, and maintaining clear, consistent communication with families.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

    Event Coordination:

    • Assist in the planning and execution of Family Connection Nights to foster relationships between families and the school community.
    • Coordinate logistical support for student life events such as rallies, dances, retreats, and other evening programs.
    • Organize parent volunteers for school events, including supervision, admissions events, and fundraising efforts.

    Communication and Outreach:

    • Support the implementation of communication plans, including tracking outreach to families and ensuring timely follow-up.
    • Assist with distributing newsletters, text messages, and calls to maintain clear and consistent communication.
    • Collaborate with the principal and registrar to organize monthly Cafecitos and other family outreach sessions.
    • Ensure all communication materials are inclusive and accessible, with a focus on multilingual resources.

    Administrative Support:

    • Maintain records of family engagement metrics and provide routine updates to leadership.
    • Provide logistical and scheduling support for family-teacher conferences and family meetings.
    • Assist in organizing family feedback sessions and compiling feedback for school leadership.

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma
    • Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
    • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
    • Experience in family engagement, community outreach, customer service, event coordination or a related field
    • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations
    • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Stand, walk, and supervise students for extended periods.
    • Lift and move supplies for events or drives (up to 30 pounds).
    • Travel locally for service site visits and partner engagement.

    SALARY AND COMPENSATION

    • This is a non-exempt position. Pay at an hourly rate between $28 and $30 an hour based on previous experience and education.
    • The position is part-time for approximately 10-15 hours per week.
    • The position is not eligible for benefits.
