    Salary Range: $70,000 - $78,000 annually

    About the Role: Staff Accountant

    The ideal candidate for the Staff Accountant position is deeply committed to the mission and values of Notre Dame High School. Reporting to the Controller, this team member will play a critical role in the daily operations of the Business Office by ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of accounting records, budgets, and financial analyses.

    Qualifications

    Education

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

    Experience

    • 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.

    • Strong understanding of general financial accounting principles.

    • Familiarity with and ability to adhere to GAAP standards.

    • Proficiency in intermediate-level Excel functions.

    • Experience with Blackbaud Financial NXT is a plus but not required.

    Skills and Abilities

    • High proficiency in accounting software.

    • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and similar software.

    • Adaptable and team-oriented with an openness to differing perspectives.

    • Ability to proactively identify and resolve challenges.

    • Demonstrated ability to prioritize confidentiality.

    • Capable of serving diverse stakeholders (staff, students, and parents) with professionalism and care.

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for extended periods.

    • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.

    • Capable of ascending and descending a flight of 20 stairs.

    • Adequate vision to read materials and hearing to exchange information effectively.
