    Marlborough School seeks a dynamic and dedicated individual to fill the role of Head Soccer Coach. As the Head Soccer Coach at Marlborough School, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of our student-athletes.


    KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


    Year-Round Responsibilities:
    Organize pre-season parent and staff meetings, clarifying rules and expectations.
    Distribute practice schedules and required training proof.
    Work with AD to create an appropriate game schedule
    Organize regular practice sessions to develop athletes' potential.


    End of Season:
    Recommend student athletes for awards and evaluate past seasons.
    Evaluate all assistant coaches under supervision.
    • Strong understanding of volleyball techniques, strategies, and training methods.
    • Ability to work evenings and weekends, accommodating the schedule of athletic events and practices.

    Formulate objectives for upcoming sport seasons.

    Stay updated on new ideas, techniques, and rules through clinics and workshops. Remain active in professional organizations.

    Attend school admissions events.

    In-Season Responsibilities:

    Before Season:

    Coordinates with athletic trainers to ensure athletes are cleared for participation.

    Facilitate a pre-season practice plan to develop all levels.

    Work with coaching staff to create program standards and expectations

    During Season:

    Supervise all phases of teams, emphasizing safety and ethical conduct.

    Ensure facility regulations are understood and enforced.

    Report contest outcomes to the media and Athletic Director.

    Instruct players on rules, techniques, and safety procedures.

    Adhere to Marlborough School's rules and regulations.

    Arrange systematic return, cleaning, storing, and inventory of all equipment/uniforms.

    Recommend improvements for facilities and personnel.

    Submit recommendations for next year's schedule and equipment purchases.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Management, or a related field is preferred.

    • A minimum of 5 years of coaching experience at the secondary, club or collegiate level.

    • Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for attending off-site games and events.

    • Commitment to professional development, staying updated on the latest coaching techniques and industry best practices.

    • Covid-19 Vaccination required.

    COMPENSATION

          $50.00 to $70.00 per hour depending on education and experience.
