San Francisco Waldorf School is seeking a Kindergarten Lead Teacher to join our faculty in August 2024.
The San Francisco Waldorf School (SFWS) was founded in 1979 and serves more than 450 students across a parent-child program, a nursery program, kindergarten, and the first through twelfth grades. Our grade school campus (nursery through eighth grade) is in the Pacific Heights neighborhood which is easily accessed by public transportation.
San Francisco Waldorf School has a faculty of excellent teachers who are committed to Waldorf pedagogy and Anthroposophy. They are supported by an established College of Teachers, an active parent body, and a dedicated Board of Trustees. Our expanded curriculum in the grade school includes orchestral music, handwork, woodwork, physical education, gardening, eurythmy, and two foreign languages. The school is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and by the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America (AWSNA).

Individuals with university degrees, Waldorf teacher training, and preferably, experience teaching in a Waldorf school are encouraged to apply.

• Waldorf Teacher Training completed
• Bachelor’s Degree
Benefits and Compensation:
This is a 1FTE, full-time, position with full benefits including medical, dental, flexible spending plans, retirement plan (employer contributions after one year), and tuition remission for eligible dependents in our N-12 program (Staff fees apply). Salaries are paid on a 12-month schedule.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
• Be able to occasionally lift 30 lbs.
• Work intermittently in outside weather conditions, including heat and cold
• Regularly sitting or standing 4-8 hours
