    Position Overview:

    As a member of the School’s Office of Advancement, the Stewardship Officer will partner with the Director of Development (DOD) in the development and support of a comprehensive donor relations program for Crossroads School, one that is built on relationships, trust and accountability, and which ultimately generates and stewards all dollars in support of the School’s strategic fundraising priorities (including but not limited to annual giving, campaign and endowment support). Additionally, this individual will work closely with the Directors of Development and Advancement to ensure forward progress in all aspects of the School’s historic $110m campaign, including meeting preparation, campaign correspondences, monitoring gifts and pledge records, and supporting prospect research.

    Essential Job Functions:

    Stewardship Program Coordination:

    • Refine, document and implement an office-wide stewardship program in collaboration with the Director of Development to demonstrate order to build donor connection to Crossroads through consistent and meaningful contact across all donor giving levels, constituent groups and funding priorities
    • Coordinate the expansion and implementation of strategic donor engagement and stewardship communications that include, but are not limited to, endowment reports, donor impact reports and foundation communications and/or tracking
    • Collaborate to refine scheduling and materials for the creation and dissemination of the Annual Report
    • Organize, track, and oversee the creation and installation of physical naming opportunities, ensuring that lists are accurate and up to date and that all naming agreements are in line with the School’s naming policy
    • Organize and create content for acknowledgment letters, pledge reminders and other stewardship communications
    • Draft, circulate, and manage the distribution of signed seasonal correspondence to advancement constituents, including overseeing holiday cards, gifts and correspondence
    • Other duties as assigned

    Campaign Operations:

    • Partner with DOD to craft proposals, which may include information gathering, writing, proofreading and simple design
    • Work closely with the data team to prepare lists, reports and profiles concerning campaign prospects
    • Prepare talking points, assemble presentations and meeting prep for Head of School, Board members, and the Director of Advancement
    • Maintain donor lists and stewardship opportunities
    • Provide occasional administrative support for various aspects of the Worlds Unimagined Campaign

    Event Support:

    • Plan and execute annual leadership donor thank-you event, annual Head of School new parent dinners and other stewardship events with Advancement Events Coordinator

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • 3+ years of stewardship, donor relations or advancement experience preferred
    • Ability to organize, manage and multitask across varied projects and constituencies
    • Takes initiative with a positive, energetic and entrepreneurial spirit
    • Understanding and willingness to work as a team
    • Ability to prioritize appropriately when facing multiple responsibilities and tasks
    • High emotional intelligence (EQ)
    • Working knowledge of Raiser’s Edge database preferred
    • Ability to work nights as required for events
    • Computer fluency and high degree of comfort with Microsoft Office
    • (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
    • Demonstrates discretion and the highest ethical and professional behavior as a representative of Crossroads and its Advancement Office

    Physical Demands:

    • Sit for long periods of time
    • Must comply with all safety requirements which may vary
