Innovation Director

    The Innovation Director will lead the school’s efforts to infuse a culture of innovation throughout its programs and initiatives. Specifically, the coordinator will oversee our partnerships with universities, companies, and other community members that create and provide experiential learning experiences for students both in and out of the classroom. The coordinator will also work with educators to foster a collaborative educator culture that helps to scale the integration of partnership opportunities into the curricular space. This position will be responsible for partnering with the Design department to develop curriculum and programming aligned with the school's mission and its vision for innovation, and will also partner with the Institutional Advancement and President's Office on event planning and fundraising initiatives related to innovation and design. Compensation for this full-time full-year position ranges from $125,000 to $160,000 annually.

    ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • Manage and oversee all current community partnerships: 

      • Serve as the point of contact for our current partners and partner with the President’s Office and Advancement Office on partnership opportunities

      • Schedule current and new opportunities and serve as the liaison between our partners and our students 

      • Envision and communicate new opportunities with current partners

    • Serve as the point of contact for our current partners and partner with the President’s Office and Advancement Office on partnership opportunities

    • Build relationships with partners (alumni, parents and local organizations) and create meaningful opportunities to connect students with those partners on campus.
    • Collaborate closely with teachers to support them in integrating design principles in partnership with our Innovation @ Saint Francis projects.
    • Partner with teachers to encourage the creation of curriculum that explores entrepreneurship and design thinking opportunities.
    • Develop a mentorship model with both educators and partners to expand the number of partnership opportunities available to students.
    • Coordinate events in partnership with the President's Office and Institutional Team
    • Oversee Innovation budget and the needs of the maker labs.
    • Other responsibilities include: Member of Curriculum Committee and attending weekly Leadership meetings
    • Ideally this position would also moderate the Tech League and Programming Club in support of students
