    Viewpoint School is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant to the Head of Upper School. The Administrative Assistant supports the Upper School office and coordinates the schedule for the Head of School.

    Primary Functions:

    • Responsible for the clerical support in the Upper School office.
    • Responsible for distributing correspondence from the Head of Upper School, the Assistant Head of Upper School, and the Dean of Students. 
    • Responsible for monitoring the submission of grades from the Upper School’s teachers.
    • Responsible for the accessibility of quarterly Report Cards and Progress Reports. 
    • Responsible for the distribution of various grade reports to the Head of Upper School, Academic advisors, and College Counselors. 
    • Responsible for creating correspondence to faculty and administrators needing gowns and hoods for graduation ceremonies.
    • Helps to prepare the Upper School Student & Parent Handbook and Student Planner.
    • Assists registrar in sending seniors’ School Reports, transcripts, test scores, and Viewpoint’s Profile to universities and colleges.
    • Assists with the coordination and distribution of the Upper and Middle School’s Daily Bulletin
    • Creates work permits for students.
    • Maintains the schedule for the Head of Upper School.
    • Assists with the scheduling of events for Head of Upper School, the Assistant Head of Upper School, and the Dean of Students.
    • Communicates with parents and distributes phone calls when the Head of Upper School is not available.
    • Other miscellaneous duties as deemed necessary.

    Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required:  

    • Bachelors’ degree preferred with a minimum of three years’ school administrative experience.
    • Must demonstrate competency with basic word processing, spreadsheet, database, internet and computer functions.
    • Ability to use basic office equipment.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with all constituents in a school environment.
    • Position requires adaptability, analyzing, assessing, calculating, decision making, dependability, good judgment, reading, memorizing, social skills, speaking, multitasking, and writing.
    • In addition to the position described above, you agree to perform other duties and responsibilities as shall be assigned by the Head of School or other supervisor.

    Compensation: Anticipated compensation is $30.00-$35.00 per hour depending on experience.
