    Title: Tech and Theater Support Specialist
    Term: Full-time; 12 months; in-person
    Pay Range: $35 - $45/hour DOE

    Qualifications: Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience in related technical field

    Requirements: This position involves providing technical support for audio-visual equipment, educational technology, and Tier 1 technical assistance. The responsibilities of this role will expand over time with training and hands-on experience. The successful candidate should be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and have a flexible schedule; a few Saturdays and occasional weekday evenings will be required to support school events and rentals.

    Reports to: Director of Technology

    Primary Responsibilities: Technology support, AV support, technical theater support

    Hours/Classification: Full-Time, Non-exempt

    Position can start as early as May 1, 2024

    Professional Responsibilities:

    1) Technology Support:

      • Working collaboratively with the tech team to provide support to students, faculty, and staff.
      • Providing technical support for various events, including after-school events, theater productions, assemblies, rehearsals, and Zoom meetings for events.
      • Maintaining tech equipment, including but not limited to printers, Apple TVs, projectors, TVs, Macs, and iPads.

    2) Theater Tech:

      • Operating theater lightboard and sound mixers for events.

    3) Academics/LMS (Learning Management System):

      • Updating schedules, rosters, official notes, learning profiles, report cards, progress reports, and group pages.
      • Managing Student Information System (SIS) tasks, including reports, address updates, account support, and 2-factor authentication support.

    4) Accounts Management:

      • Creating rosters and maintaining student accounts, especially during summer work periods.
      • Assisting teachers, parents, and students with account logins.

    5) HVAC Systems:

      • Configuring HVAC software and making adjustments online to accommodate events.
      • Attending training sessions to become an in-house expert on new HVAC systems.


    Requirements:

    • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
    • Experience in AV support and Tier 1 Technology Support.
    • Flexibility in working hours, some weekday evenings and a few Saturdays are required.
    • Willingness to learn and expand responsibilities with training.
    • Strong organizational and communication skills.
