TVT is seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to join our team as Director of Human Resources. The Director of Human Resources is a leadership position responsible for managing comprehensive aspects of the school's human resources functions, including compensation, employee benefits, recruitment and onboarding, employee separation, leaves of absence, employee evaluation, job descriptions, record-keeping, workers compensation, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations. The Director provides strategic leadership and counsel on personnel matters, impacting employee welfare and fostering a positive work environment. Additionally, the Director oversees and supervises the Payroll and HR Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities:

Developing and maintaining HR policies and ensuring compliance with employment laws.

Managing HR records, including job descriptions, and overseeing the HRIS system.

Coordinating salary changes, FLSA classification, and recruitment efforts.

Handling employee lifecycle processes, including separations and performance issues.

Managing salary and benefit budgets, administering payroll, benefits, and retirement plans.

Preparing HR reports, maintaining the HR section on the intranet, and ensuring legal compliance.

Supervising HR staff and working in an office environment with various physical demands.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and at least five years of relevant HR experience, independent school experience a plus.

Strong communication skills, discretion with confidential matters.

Proficient with technology, including HRIS, payroll, and database systems. Experience with Paycom, a plus.

Working knowledge of human resource principles, labor laws, and regulations.

Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, functions, and activities.
