    ABOUT THE WILLOWS:
    The Willows Community School, located in Culver City is a Developmental Kindergarten through 8th grade non-profit, co-educational independent school enrolling 475 students annually. Recognized as a balanced, progressive educational leader, The Willows’ strong academic program incorporates experiential learning and thematic instruction into cutting-edge curriculum and integrates technology and the arts into the classroom.     POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Annual Giving Manager is responsible for facilitating an annual giving program that generates unrestricted support for the school's operating budget from all constituents.   Ensures strong volunteer leadership and participation in achieving annual giving goals.

     

     REPORTS TO: Director of Development

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    • ·         Manage all aspects of the Annual Giving program each fiscal year.
    • ·         Sets goals based on historical analysis of donors and prospect base and school needs.
    • ·         Develops targeted campaigns for all constituents.
    • ·         Establishes calendar of solicitations by targeted constituency and fundraising
    • strategy.
    • ·         Personally solicits prospects as appropriate for the annual fund at the $3,000 plus level.
    • ·         Manages an effective program of personal solicitation utilizing top-level volunteers, including identifying, enlisting, training, and recognizing volunteers.
    • ·         Uses multiple channels in soliciting donors.
    • ·         Monitors program results and provides ongoing analysis and evaluation of solicitation programs.
    • ·         Recommends and implements changes in strategies to meet program goals and
    • objectives.
    • ·         Composes written documents and brochures in support of the Annual Giving.
    • ·         Coordinates gift acknowledgment and pledge fulfillment.
    • ·         Maximizes the corporate matching gift potential among current and donors.
    • ·         Involved in the production of the Annual Report and all donor recognition materials.
    • ·         Reports monthly on Annual Giving Statistics to the Director of Development and Assistant Head of School for Advancement.
    • ·         Engages in the life of the school by actively participating in campus events and programs.
    • ·         Manages special projects that are assigned by the Director of Development.
    • ·         Perform other duties as needed.
    • ·         Requires working some evenings and weekends.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • ·         Bachelor’s degree.
    • ·         3 years of development experience.
    • ·         A proven track record of success in growing a comprehensive giving program.
    • ·         Ability to conceive, plan and execute a multifaceted annual fund program.
    • ·         Ability to establish measurable goals and objectives and to develop and implement strategies to achieve them.
    • ·         Ability to recruit, manage, and motivate volunteers.
    • ·         Superlative written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
    • ·         Entrepreneurial, creative, and collaborative approach to fundraising.
    • ·         Impeccable ethics, discretion, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
    • ·         Ability to prioritize own workload in a timely manner to complete assignments when faced with many deadlines and competing requirements.
    • ·         Outstanding organizational and analytical skills.
    • ·         Expertise in enlisting, training, managing, and motivating large groups of volunteers.
    • ·         Strong computer skills, including expertise in MS Office; preference will be given to candidates with fluency in Raiser’s Edge software.
    • ·         Knowledge of direct mail, telemarketing, face-to-face and Internet solicitation

    marketing techniques.

    • ·         Ability to work with others in the fulfillment of responsibilities.

     

    COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

    This is a full-time 12-month position with a salary range of 65k-75k/year.  Salary commensurate with experience.
