Pilgrim School has an immediate opening for a Senior Accountant. The Senior Accountant is responsible for the accounting and financial reporting functions of the Pilgrim School and reports directly to the school Chief Financial and Operating Officer.

Areas of Responsibilities:

• Monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Quarterly analytics reports.
• Annual audit schedules.
• Budget coordination and variance reports.
• Supervision of Accounting team.
• Journal Entries, GL maintenance and financial statement analysis.
• Bank reconciliations.
• Accounts payable and cash receipts oversight
• Tuition Management billing and monitoring of accounts receivable
• Student enrollment management and tracking through TM to Financial Edge NXT.
• Blackbaud FE NXT database maintenance.
• Assisting Chief Financial and Operating Officer with projects and other duties, as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in Accounting.
• CPA certification, preferred.
• Five years’ experience in accounting and supervisory experience, required.
• Independent School experience, preferred.
• A thorough understanding of GAAP and internal controls required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT & Tuition Management software required
• The ideal candidate is professional, motivated, enthusiastic, has excellent communication skills and is able to work effectively and cooperatively with others.
• The successful candidate must be able to multi-task, be detail oriented, meet deadlines, and handle confidential information with upmost discretion.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
