Campbell Hall, founded in 1944 and situated on 15 naturally landscaped acres in North Hollywood, California, is an independent, coeducational, college preparatory, Episcopal day school for students in kindergarten through grade twelve. Software Developer / IT Support
The Software Developer is an integral part of the information technology team reporting to the Associate Director of Technology. This is a full-time, 12-month position with responsibilities that can vary greatly throughout the academic year and will occasionally necessitate evening or weekend commitments. We value candidates who can patiently support teachers and staff, who can calmly participate in the varied demands of a busy help center and who have the flexibility to work independently and as a member of a team.
Primary Responsibilities include the following:
Develops and programs web applications.
Develops and maintains mobile applications for iOS and Android.
Develops dynamic online forms for registrations, payments, and other online systems used by internal and external constituents.
Train faculty, staff, and students on the use of hardware, software, and cloud-based services.
Maintenance and development of SQL Server databases.
Assist with mobile device deployments.
Supports mobile device management for macOS and iOS devices.
Assist internal and external constituents with system support and training.
Provide installation support and general assistance with infrastructure and network implementations.
Assist with implementing and maintaining server and software deployments.
Monitor server and system health and troubleshoot and repair problems.
Provides technical support for all software and hardware related problems for the campus community.
Support parents, students, and employees with password and system access assistance.
Manage and assist with cross system data migrations.
Teaches individual and group workshops for employees on a variety of computer use subjects.
Bachelor’s degree required
Minimum experience preferred:
2+ years’ experience troubleshooting and using macOS and iOS
Bachelor’s degree in computer science
Knowledge of basic networking
Strong technology literacy
Experience working with technology in an academic environment
Familiarity and experience with Active Directory, IP Networks, and DHCP
3+ years of experience with computer technology/programming
Knowledge of network infrastructure
Expertise in widely used software packages
Problem solving, flexibility, initiative, patience, and reliability
Ability to work and focus with multiple distractions, projects and changing priorities
Good at prioritizing and multitasking
Good written and oral communication
Ability to work independently
Available for occasional night and weekend work
Ability to travel to technology workshops and conferences
Flexible and collaborative team player
Ability to lift and move 50 pounds
Excellent attendance and punctuality
