    High School Japanese, Long-Term Substitute 

    Campbell Hall, founded in 1944 and situated on a 15-acre campus in Studio City, California, is an independent, all-gender, college preparatory, Episcopal day school for students in kindergarten through grade 12.     Campbell Hall Faculty Description

    Campbell Hall seeks faculty who are dedicated to the developmentally appropriate education of the whole child; who are interested in learning as well as teaching; who connect their responsibilities with the philosophy and purpose of the school; who teach to empower as well as to inform; who are comfortable with questions as well as answers; who can work with direction, focus, humor, and dignity within the complexities of a diverse school environment; and who will be dedicated to promoting and maintaining an inclusive school community.

    Campbell Hall faculty embrace the schools mission and are dedicated in their implementation of a vigorous college preparatory academic program. They are equally devoted to the emotional and spiritual development of each student and they strive to relate to students, parents, and colleagues in ways that promote open and supportive communication. The result is a community where students and adults are confident to learn and grow.

    Responsibilities include the following:

    • Five classes:

      • Japanese II (2 sections)

      • Japanese III (1 section)

      • Japanese IIIH (1 section)

      • AP Japanese (1 section)

    • General lesson plans will be provided; the substitute will be responsible for specific lesson plans and grading.

    • Each class meets for 75 minutes every other day

    • Monthly meetings include but are not exclusive to:

      • DAT (Deans, Advisors and Teachers)

      • World Language department

      • High school division meeting

    Required Qualifications:

    • Minimum 3 years of full-time teaching experience

    • Bachelors degree or higher

    • Proficiency with technology
