    OVERVIEW

     

    The Media Manager is essential to the school’s communications and community-building efforts for both internal and external audiences. The Media Manager will manage, organize, and prioritize multiple content projects at a time. The successful candidate should have demonstrated experience creating results-oriented visual and video materials, under tight deadlines, while maintaining exceptional quality and attention to detail. The position requires excellent technical skills and the ability to work independently.

    He/she is responsible for executing the school’s institutional identity and convey its key messages.

    This position is part of a vibrant Admissions and Marketing Office and is expected to employ a collaborative, service-oriented approach in developing and implementing communication strategies to promote student, parent, teacher, staff and overall community engagement. Every LFSF staff member is expected to promote the school’s mission and vision and to advance the central values of the school.

    RESPONSIBILTIES

     

    Strategy

    • Propose and implement visual strategies to enhance internal communications and build external audience.

    Design

    • Generate design pieces that support these strategies while strengthening the school’s brand
    • Collaborate with the Director of Admissions and Marketing and the Communication and Marketing Associate to develop print and online visuals that support the message and respect the identity of the school.

    Photography

    • Document school’s activities on our three campuses generating images that can be used in print materials or online
    • Manage and upkeep school’s photo library

    Video

    • Produce short videos for day to day school promotion on website and social media
    • Direct and produce short films to support a more comprehensive marketing

    Yearbook

    • Work with all teams including administrative and academic teams to organize and manage the production of the school yearbook.

    CREDENTIALS – EXPERIENCE

     

    Credentials:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Photography, Graphic design, Film or a related discipline, or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

    Experience:

    • 3-5 years’ experience preferably in the visual industry
    • Experience working in an independent school or university setting a plus

    Language:

    • Languages: bilingual English and French a plus but not required

    Technology:

    • Demonstrated experience with Adobe Creative Suite
    • Knowledge of video editing software; ability to edit short, compelling films is a plus
    • Knowledge of industry standards for print, video and web
    • Understands the impact and value of storytelling

    * This position requires traveling to our 3 campuses and occasional evening and weekend work.
