Breakout Sessions

- Project Management: Nailing the RFP Process
The independent school landscape as we know it has changed, and non-project managers or newer project managers may find themselves facing new challenges. Don’t underestimate the importance of closely managing the RFP process from project inception to project close-out. In this presentation, we’ll explore the importance of asking the right questions, fairly evaluating prospective contractors, and managing the project or vendor services. Join Matt Riddle, Director of Facilities and Capital Planning, Marlborough School, to explore this important topic.

- Protect Your Bottom Line: Budget Management and Preparation
Examine different ways to budget for different situations. Learn how best to forecast, and track your budget while remaining nimble. Hear from a panel of your peers representing schools across the spectrum.

C19 Changes- Ventilation is the Foundation
Outside air, fresh air, and clean air all mean the same thing in the HVAC industry. The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) now simply calls it clean air in its latest publications. Why is outside air so important in the HVAC systems of your campus facilities? In this session, a facilities industry leader will present how ASHRAE 62.1 influences the law required building codes on school campuses and how this is affecting a facilities owner/manager.

Each session will run twice.

Keynote Presentation

Lessons Learned: Next Level Cleaning and Technologies
Join Chris Bonnaud, Sales
Manager, Waxie Sanitary Supply, as he walks through the steps on how to keep your school on budget and increase efficiency through local expert consultants, effective instruction and use of a national purchasing contract. Learn how to maintain a cleaner, greener, safer and healthier campus. Gone are the days of cleaning for appearance. Covid-19 has shaped a new way forward in cleanliness and sanitation for your school where sanitation and health mandate new equipment, chemicals, techniques and tactics. Making key investments in cleanliness and safety will pay off beyond the pandemic.
