High School Hebrew Teacher

    de Toledo High School in West Hills, CA, is a vibrant, innovative, and academically-rigorous independent high school community, where intellectual imagination and ethical action are inseparable.  We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Hebrew teacher who has knowledge of and a passion for teaching Hebrew as a second language effective August 2020. We are seeking candidates with experience in teaching at all levels.

    Responsibilities:

    • Teach 4 Hebrew  classes
    • Meet responsibilities set forth by department chair and school administration

    Qualifications/Job Requirements:

    • Bachelors in Education
    • Teaching credential preferred
    • Ability to teach all levels
    • 3+ years teaching Hebrew in a Jewish day school in America at High School/ Middle school level
    • Knowledge of Hebrew as a native language
    • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
    • Commitment to professional development
    • Proficient with 21st century technology applications for classroom learning
    • Knowledge of differentiation and language acquisition challenges
