    The General Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing professional service and support to the Facilities department, outside contractors, Mayfield Senior School faculty, staff, administration, students, company functions and events.  Performs a variety of cleaning and custodial duties including daily cleaning and supplying of restrooms, classrooms, and other assigned areas.  Using cleaning devices such as wet mops, wringers, duster, vacuum cleaning, and other necessary tools, products and supplies. Remove trash to appropriate areas. Dust furniture, walls, wipe boards, machines, and equipment.

    The General Maintenance Technician will perform preventive maintenance on all equipment as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Facility Director.  The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the overall upkeep of all common areas associated with the physical plant.  The Maintenance Technician will recognize deficiencies with equipment, damage to walls, buildings, vehicles, landscape, parking lots, storage facilities, tennis courts, irrigation systems, external and internal lighting systems, HVAC systems, boiler, AV equipment, security systems, etc. and report them to the Facility Director if they require professional resources.
