Westridge is seeking a part-time Human Resources Specialist to provide support to our school. This position is responsible for assisting with day-to-day human resource functions, focusing on payroll and benefit administration, employee record management, and compliance with state and federal regulations. Key duties include preparing bi-weekly payroll, maintaining personnel files, and assisting with employee benefits as needed. Experience with HRIS systems, specifically Paycom, is highly preferred. This position reports to the Director of Human Resources and requires excellent communication and organizational skills.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
- · Assist with administering employee benefits package, including group medical, dental, life, flexible spending accounts, and retirement plan
- · Coordinate annual benefits open enrollment process for employees, new hire enrollments, terminations, and COBRA
- · Assist with vendor and third-party relationships, including flexible spending accounts, health plans, COBRA, and retirement plans
- · Manage employee accrued sick, vacation, and PTO programs
- · Ensure all pay and benefits are recorded accurately and timely in the payroll system
- · Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding payroll, health benefits, and sick time accruals
- · Assist with annual workers’ compensation audit
- · Prepare bi-weekly payroll
- · Assist with gathering data for annual surveys (CAL-ISBOA, NAIS, etc.)
Additional Requirements:
- · Bachelor’s degree preferred
- · Previous HR and payroll experience required
- · Strong preference for candidates with extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of Paycom
- · Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- · Excellent time management and organization skills

Salary & Schedule:
This is a permanent, part-time, non-exempt position with an hourly salary between $33.00/hr and $38.00/hr. Scheduled time is approximately 20 hours/week. This position is eligible for paid time off, including sick time and holidays.
