    POSITION TITLE: Sports Information Manager

    DEPARTMENT: Athletics

    POSITION TYPE: Full Time / Salary

    REPORTS TO: Director of Athletics for External Affairs

    JOB SHIFT: Day (some nights and weekends)


    Responsible for the creation and effective execution of sports information and engagement strategy across all aspects of the Campbell Hall Athletics Department sports teams. Under the direction of the Director of Athletics for External Affairs, the Sports Information Manager (SIM) will be responsible for marketing and promotion of CH Athletics via multiple outlets and is responsible for social media, maintaining photos/videos, website maintenance, and various other marketing materials. The SIM will design and execute a comprehensive and operational marketing and communication plan to increase overall athletics engagement.


    • Develop CH Athletics communications plan that will increase the visibility and brand for CH Athletic Department.
    • Responsible for design and maintenance of editorial and web graphic content for athletics marketing publications, newsletters, admissions materials, etc.
    • Ongoing maintenance of CH Athletics website (upload photos, headshots, highlights, statistics, and bios).
    • Develop and implement a photo/video strategy to capture CH Athletics content throughout the academic year, including media days by supervising professional/student photographers and videographers.
    • Develop and maintain live streaming equipment/software for games and player highlights for college scholarship promotions, etc.
    • Manage CH Athletics Social Media with the help of the Athletics Communications Coordinator to design and post graphics, pre-game & post-game highlights, player spotlights, game schedules, etc. to CH Athletics social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter) and help manage the additional CH sports social media Instagram accounts (i.e. Basketball, Baseball, etc.)
    • Assist the Athletics Communications Coordinator by attending home events/contests and produce post-game content in a timely manner.
    • Assist with CH Athletic Department public relations needs.

    Other assignments, projects, and duties may be required:

    • Assist the Director of Athletics for External Affairs in creating, developing an environment on game-day excitement/school spirit by promoting CH Athletics to increase engagement, attendance, and viewership.
    • Develop and implement an Athletics App for real time game statistics, roster, player bios, live stream, etc.


    • Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
    • At least 3-5 years experience in a Communications position with similar duties and/or skills.


    • Excellent writing, communications, and interpersonal skills, including strong public speaking, and listening skills.
    • Strong experience with social media, graphic design, some video editing, and a proficiency in desktop publishing (InDesign, Photoshop, Canva, etc.).
    • Ability to effectively use web technology and design to achieve communication goals.
    • Foundational knowledge of general practices, methods, and procedures related to public affairs, media relations, marketing, and/or sports information.
