Our Annual Meeting brings together CFOs, Directors of Finance, Business Officers, Heads of School and Human Resources professionals from schools of all sizes and structures located throughout the state. Once a year we all come together at our Annual Meeting to share our ideas, hear about the progress of Cal-ISBOA, celebrate our successes, learn from our challenges, meet up with old friends and make new connections. To simplify your planning and ensure that the Annual Meeting is accessible to all, the location of the Annual Meeting alternates between northern and southern California.

Pre-Conference Workshops   11:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Human Resources Workshop
Join your colleagues for a half-day pre-conference workshop completely dedicated to the ins and outs of HR at independent schools in California. This interactive program is designed for both new and seasoned Human Resources professionals as well as business officers who also wear the HR hat. The program will include opportunities for networking as well as sessions on a variety of HR topics encompassing both transactional and strategic HR functions. Statistical Survey Workshop: Dive Deeper into Data Analysis
During this highly interactive workshop, teams of Business Officers will a develop a multi-stage sustainability enhancement plan for an independent school facing a combination of intensified competitive, cost pressures, and a challenging economy. .Under the guidance of Dr. Harry Bloom, Senior Vice President of Client Solutions of Measuring Success, participants will use the CalISBOA benchmarking database to understand the drivers of the school’s sustainability challenges.
