Position: Part-Time Assistant Office Manager
Reports to: Office Manager
Position Status: Part-Time, Non-Exempt (10 hours per week during the school day)
The Marin School, an independent college-preparatory high school in San Rafael, California, seeks a part-time Assistant Office Manager.
The Marin School currently serves 100 students in grades 9-12 with the goal to grow enrollment over the next 3 years. We honor each student's unique learning style and act in accordance with an unshakable belief in the potential of each and every student. Our motto is "Small School. Big Impact." Class size at the school is small by design (7-10 students), to allow teachers to fully understand their students and give teachers the ability to personalize their instruction with experiential learning, innovative lessons and non-traditional, yet effective, learning opportunities.

Serve as first point of contact for visitors to the School while Office Manager teaches class and takes a break.
Handle phone calls office visitors.
Respond to email correspondence.
Ensure that inquiries and initiatives are addressed with an appropriate sense of urgency and ownership.
Ensure that confidential school information and materials are handled with excellent judgment and appropriate discretion.
Provide administrative support to the Head of School.
Manage Google Calendars such as: Head of School, Performing Arts Center, Kitchen, and School Events.
Work in conjunction with the faculty to track student attendance and maintain student attendance records using Thinkwave, a cloud-based school management software.
Complete assignments given by the Office Manager and Head of School.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
Ability to get along well with high school students, faculty and staff, parents, trustees, vendors, and other constituents.
Attention to detail.
Highly efficient and effective, able to prioritize and execute duties to accomplish objectives
Advanced level of proficiency with MS Office Suite, Google Docs, and a proven ability to learn new software quickly.
1 or more year of professional experience.
Excellent organizational skills, including maintaining well organized digital and physical files.
Proactive in planning, problem solving, executing, and communicating.

Hours: 10:45-1:15 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday when school is in session. Job begins ASAP.
