    The Communication and Marketing Manager is essential to the school’s communications and community-building efforts for both internal and external audiences. The Communication and Marketing Associate will manage, organize, and prioritize multiple content projects at a time. The successful candidate should have demonstrated experience creating results-oriented communications materials, under tight deadlines, while maintaining exceptional quality and attention to detail. The position requires excellent written and interpersonal communication skills, the ability to work independently, and the capacity to make sound creative and strategic decisions.


    The Communication and Marketing Manager reports to the Director of Admissions and Marketing, works with the support of the Media Manager and in collaboration with the school leadership to develop internal and external communications, and oversee media relations and marketing. He/she is be responsible for articulating and promoting the institutional identity and communicating key messages to all constituents to raise visibility and awareness.


    This position is part of a vibrant Admissions and Marketing Office and is expected to employ a collaborative, service-oriented approach in developing and implementing communication strategies to promote student, parent, teacher, staff and overall community engagement.     Responsibilities include:


    Strategy and Branding:

    • Propose and implement strategies to enhance internal communications and build external audience.
    • Effectively articulate the school’s mission, and vision to external community. Help craft and promote school messages, programs and events.
    • Ensure a cohesive visual identity of the school for all departments and activities.



    • Develop print and online materials for the school.
    • Oversee and negotiate cost-effective production, mailing, and bid processes with third party graphic designers, photographers, translators, and printers when required
    • Develop strategies for online engagement through website and social media, including regular review of engagement analytics.
    • Oversee all aspects of e-communications, including generating weekly e-newsletters and website management - writing, editing and managing content on website.
    • Write and edit news stories for on-going communication and magazine. Network with LFSF stakeholders, including faculty, staff, parents, students, and volunteers in the production of all publications,
    • Collaborate and coordinate with Media Manager to create inspiring videos, photography and other visuals that will support these stories.
    • Manage social media, keeping postings up to date and relevant.


    Advertising and marketing:

    • Prepare an annual strategic marketing plan that actively supports enrollment and retention
    • Develop and manage budget for marketing department.




    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in communications, journalism, marketing or a related discipline.


    • 3-5 years’ experience preferably in marketing or communications


    • Languages: Ideally bilingual English and French or comprehension in French preferred.


    • Experience with CMS (knowledge of Finalsite a plus) and email marketing using MailChimp, Constant Contact or similar platform.
    • Demonstrated experience with strategic use of social media and best practices in e-communication for school
    • Strong sense of design and communications strategy. Demonstrated experience with Adobe Creative Suite; ability to edit short, compelling films using iMovie is a plus.



    • Enjoys and excels in storytelling and writing
    • Accuracy and attention to detail
    • Ability to build and maintain constructive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
    • Strong interpersonal and human relations skills. Ability to work as a member of a team
    • Experience working in an independent school or university setting a plus
    • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.

    * This position requires traveling to our 3 campuses and occasional evening and weekend work.
