Business Continuity Presentation by Chris Joffe of Joffe Emergency Services

Business continuity is one of the most complicated aspects of emergency preparedness, especially for schools. Our school communities must sustain business and educational operations in the aftermath of an emergency, regardless of the circumstances. No matter where your school is in the business continuity process, this presentation will challenge, guide, supercharge and inform your thinking on issues including:

  • How to identify your critical infrastructure/items of priority
  • How to ensure essential functions continue after an emergency (payroll, education, attendance)
  • How you can prepare in advance for losing access to campus
  • How you can develop a business continuity team to lead the recovery after a crisis
  • How to build hope after a disaster occurs

Your school, and all that you mean to your community, is defined not by the facilities in which you gather, but by who you are when you come together. Business continuity planning ensures that your school can remain the touchstone, resource, and center of your community - no matter what.
